Grass maintenance also drew attention, particularly the frequency of mowing services. Residents noted that if mowing is scheduled on a rainy day, it could push the service back a month, leading to overgrown grass and further blight.

Health concerns were raised regarding sanitation issues in East Toledo, particularly the presence of rats and unsanitary conditions caused by residents lacking access to water. One speaker highlighted the serious health risks associated with these conditions, including the potential spread of communicable diseases. The speaker urged city officials to take immediate action to address these public health threats, questioning the safety of children in the area.
