Saratoga Springs City Council has announced significant updates to local transportation services and funding initiatives during their recent meeting on August 5, 2025.

Effective Sunday, August 24, 2025, the Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) will implement changes to Route 452, which services Skidmore College and downtown Saratoga. The route will revert to its pre-COVID path on Circular Street, discontinuing service on High Rock Avenue. Additionally, a new route, Route 713, will connect downtown Glens Falls to downtown Saratoga Springs via Route 9 on weekdays, enhancing regional connectivity.

In financial matters, the council authorized a payment of $20,592.70 to Goldberger and Kremer for legal services related to labor issues. This decision passed with a vote of 3-1, highlighting the ongoing legal support required for city operations.

The council also approved the mayor's authorization to sign an application for youth development funding from the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) for the 2026 program year. This annual grant will support Camp Cerradac, ensuring continued opportunities for local youth.
