During the recent Planning & Zoning meeting, officials discussed the necessity of this change, noting that RV parks are not permitted under the current general retail and medium-density zoning classifications.

The property in question, approximately 33.89 acres located on East Loudoun Street, will transition to Agricultural Open (AO) zoning, which accommodates the proposed RV park. The owner, Rainy Creek LLC, represented by Clint Rosenbaum, expressed a clear preference for this zoning adjustment, emphasizing its alignment with the intended use of the land.

Commissioners showed support for the change, with one member stating, "I don’t think we would normally have any objection towards that," highlighting the area's existing AO zoning. The motion to approve the conditional use permit (CUP) for the RV park was unanimously passed, signaling a positive step forward for the project.
