Principal Grama Pontius of Derby High School added that the fluid nature of student participation in activities can complicate attendance tracking. She reassured attendees that efforts are being made to expedite notifications regarding team departures and to adapt rosters as changes occur.

As the meeting progressed, discussions also touched on the integration of a new electronic badge system aimed at improving attendance accuracy. This initiative, which is set to be tested soon, is designed to help teachers monitor student movements more effectively and address concerns about students leaving classrooms without proper documentation.
