The theme for this year, "Build Together, Play Together," underscores the collaborative spirit of local programs that foster lifelong friendships and family bonds.

City Manager Marion County expressed gratitude for the council's support in revitalizing the aquatics program, which now offers swim classes and open swim opportunities. The community is encouraged to take advantage of these affordable programs, with lap swim available Monday through Friday for just $5 per session or $45 for a ten-swim pass.

In addition to swimming, the council announced the return of various sports leagues, including youth pickleball and adult basketball, with fall registrations now open. The summer concert series at Lake Park is also set to continue, featuring local bands and food vendors, promising a vibrant atmosphere for residents.
