She noted that the project faces challenges, particularly the need for three pedestrian overcrossings to ensure safety and separation from vehicle traffic. These structures are costly and will require careful planning and funding.

Additionally, the meeting addressed concerns related to climate change, particularly sea level rise, which could affect the trail's design and functionality. The team is committed to considering these evolving challenges in their planning process.
