The project will employ approximately 1,200 workers across eight counties, with a focus on local hiring through partnerships with local contractors and educational institutions like TCATs, which will help train workers for various roles needed in the construction process.

In addition to the pipeline update, the meeting also highlighted the efforts of the budget committee, which worked diligently to craft a budget without increasing rates for residents. Committee member Mr. Sandler noted the extensive time and effort put into the budget discussions, emphasizing the importance of maintaining fiscal responsibility while accommodating new hires and services.
