Public comments also included suggestions for improving the accessibility of CRA agendas. BJ Kaledi proposed that agendas be made available on the city’s main website, arguing that the current color scheme makes them difficult to read. Additionally, she raised questions about the funding sources for the Tax Increment Financing (TIF) related to property taxes, seeking clarity on how these funds are allocated between city and county properties.

Pastor Delphine Sands expressed gratitude for the recent installation of crosswalks and flashing lights on West King Street, highlighting their positive impact on pedestrian safety. Her acknowledgment underscored the importance of community engagement and responsiveness from local government.

The meeting also included a preliminary budget review for the CRA's three special districts: West City, Lincolnville, and the Historic Area. Community Services Director Jamie D. Perkins outlined plans for a detailed budget discussion scheduled for August 28, aiming to refine the financial allocations based on community feedback and priorities.
