In a recent planning and zoning briefing held at Grand Prairie City Hall, city officials discussed a proposed Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for an auto paint shop looking to expand its operations. The business owner, who currently operates another location, aims to utilize the new site on Dalworth Street exclusively for paint work.

The proposed site plan includes a single building that will be subdivided into three large work bays and a smaller office area. Notably, the location is strategically positioned away from existing single-family homes and duplexes, ensuring minimal disruption to residential areas. Instead, it is surrounded by a mix of industrial and commercial properties, which have already transitioned from residential uses.

City planners confirmed that the project complies with all zoning and parking requirements, as well as landscaping regulations. The plan includes a landscaped buffer in the front yard and the necessary number of trees to enhance the site’s aesthetic appeal.
