The Allentown School District is set to enhance its educational offerings through a new partnership with the prestigious Juilliard School, following a unanimous vote by the school board during their recent meeting. This collaboration, which will run from August 1, 2025, to June 30, 2028, aims to provide comprehensive professional development for educators, focusing on both arts and non-arts instruction.

The partnership will include in-person workshops, virtual coaching, and access to Juilliard’s extensive curriculum resources. This initiative is designed to elevate the role of music, dance, and drama in schools while supporting broader academic and wellness goals. In addition to the Juilliard partnership, the board approved funding for new math curriculum materials to accommodate the district's growing enrollment. The request for $67,744.16 will ensure that every elementary student has access to necessary workbooks, enhancing their learning experience in mathematics.
