The June 26, 2025, meeting of the Howard County Board of Education commenced with a celebratory introduction of newly promoted staff members for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. The meeting highlighted the achievements of several individuals who have taken on new leadership roles within the school district.

The first introduction was for Rashmi Berry, the new principal of Wild Lake Middle School. She was accompanied by her daughters, Ramaya and Priya, as the audience applauded her promotion. Following her, Mariah Carr, the newly appointed principal of Lisbon Elementary School, was recognized, with her husband, Rodney, present to celebrate the occasion.

The meeting continued with the introduction of Dr. Khalil Abdisik, the new principal of Bryant Woods Elementary School, who was joined by his wife, Nicole. The audience welcomed him warmly with applause.

Additionally, Jocelyn Anthony Williams, known as Mrs. AW, was introduced as the new assistant principal of Elkridge Landing Middle School. She was accompanied by her husband, Kareem, and their four children, who were also acknowledged during the introductions.
