The proposed development will feature 288 apartments, primarily two-bedroom units, strategically located near major transportation routes, including Route 13 and Route 1. This location is expected to enhance accessibility for residents, with a nearby park-and-ride facility and amenities within walking distance.

Committee members emphasized the importance of this project in combating the "brain drain" affecting the area, where many young graduates leave due to a lack of affordable housing options. The discussion highlighted the need for modern housing that can accommodate new teachers, police officers, and other essential workers who struggle to find affordable living spaces in the community.

The development plan includes traffic calming measures to ensure safe access to and from Route 13, with a single entrance designed for right-in, right-out access, and a full access point on Boyd's Corner Road. This design is expected to significantly reduce traffic compared to previous commercial plans for the site, with estimates showing a decrease of over 60% during peak hours.
